What’s the problem with the hour? Polish guys (we in Warsaw and Cracow) danced 2.30 AM this year. We will be dancin’ 6.30 AM next year, personally I think that this will be better. Think of the others also. What is inconvenient to you, may be more convenient to the others. I will wait for the year, when Europe will be dancin’ in the day....

Julie: Fort Worth, TX: I believe that the convenient time should rotate around the world and the truly dedicated will show up to dance regardless of the hour. There were folks dancing in Zimbabwe at 3:30 am on sunday morning when I was dancing at 7:30 pm on Saturday night. It worked out good for me this year and next year I am willing to sacrifice to make another record! Count me in regardless of the hour! That’s the whole point!

Hey guys and girls,
I read your comments and i understand the problem with next year but common its still possible maybe in some cases and countries its really difficult but 4.30 is manageable!
dont you think one time a year doing something for mj and make the world a unity through dance
IT POSSIBLE TO SLEEP IN ADVANCE SOME HOURS AND GET UP TWO HOURS BEFORE ITS START OR GET MORE SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE OR SLEEP IMMDIATELY AFTER THAT Its early Sunday hours and its also possible to sleep after the event and in case of kids if they are not to small they could sleep in advance also as the adults could do.
If we all really wanna take part again it should be manageable to somehow plan everybodys slepp before or after, its not as if it would be on a weekday at least in Europe!
I dont mean it in a bad way i say it with love,
but for something special there is some sacrifice and effort needed and we need to be motivated to keep this great event up!!!
Think about it i think i didnt say anything wrong just wanted to point out the possiblity and that it can be possible. Our group also consists of kids and grown ups everybody with differnt life agendas but still we are already planning for next year. Its like MJ said if you really stay together and you really want you can do anything....
Warm greetings to everyone from Germany....

I think PEI will not have the interest in 2010 with our time at 1:30 am Sunday. It will change the entire nature of the event and will probably have a difficult time in finding a venue at that time, unless we tie it into another event. We will also loose all our young zombies! I understand the principle of the idea, but think it will be alot more difficult for us at this time, and we were hoping to build on this years numbers!

Hi Aaron,
I totally agree with you for the time, 4.30 am is really early…
It’s not good for Europe and Africa.
It will be almost impossible to Thrill the World next year…
I’ve made a suggestion to Ines: to divide the times : 4.30am for the US (as she planned) and 4.30pm (saturday the 23th) for Europe and Africa…
Didn’t get any answers yet....
Take care

Thank you to the Creator. Please continue to bless, guide, and protect us all. Thank you to Michael Jackson. You are divine. Without you this phenomenon would not exist. You live Forever - we will never let you die. We love you.
Thank you Ines for having the courage to get up and start something like this...and keep it going. You have disproved your own disbelief in the “no pain - no gain” theory. I’ll see you in zombie physio.
Thank you to every single member of the funky zombie family worldwide. Thank you to the London funky zombie family who picked my funky fingers up when they dropped to the ground. Literally. Your hard work and dedication still brings Ms. gRoss to tears. I never thought I could ever be beaten in a mad-off, but...you guys won...this round… Thank you to every single member of the global team - hard work - this year was a grueling one, but we did it! .
Thank you to each and every one of our supporters just so many to mention around the world and here in London…
HMV, Danceworks, University of Westminster Student Union, Planet Hollywood, Cineworld, Corks, and all the Angels that kept me going by motivating me, challenging me, and lifting me up each time my heart became consumed by the event of June 25th.
Special thanks to Quincy Jones and Oprah Winfrey. Your support means a lot to the funky zombie nation.
We are on the rise - We plan on terrorizing every neighbourhood to teach humans a lesson and show them the steps to immortal love and funk.

We need to get the word out about this event so more people know about it (I didn’t know until 2 weeks before it was going to take place). I think so many more people would participate if they knew. I was fortunate to have learned of this event one week before it took place. I attended two seminars to learn the choreography and practiced, practiced, practiced with the YouTube video. I LOVED being part of this event! I’m a 44 year old single mother of three kids; now they know the choreography, too! Thrill the World will be a family tradition for us now for two reasons: we are long-time Michael Jackson fans and it is so awesome to be a part of something so very, very, fun! When I talked to different people about the event and what I was doing, MJ fans literally came out of the wood-work (like zombie’s)! From grandmother’s to cowboys, he was loved and the diversity of participants will continue to grow each year! Thank you for the opportunity!

I couldn’t be at the London event on the night (nor could my niece and her daughter) due to health problems...but Wow, when I saw the filming in Piccadilly, it looked awesome!
Full credit to the London organizers: the central city backdrop looked marvellous and the characterizations from zombie Superman to the young punk with attitude with a white blood-spattered shirt and multi-coloured tie to the demon diva in luminous, sinuous full length red dress with talons and eyes to match… well they could be the stuff of your nightmares.. or bad dreams...or something else…
Well well done.

We had a wonderful time and collected 320 lbs of food for the SEMO Food Bank with just 35 dancers! I’m glad I was part of this wonderful & worthwhile movement and am looking forward to next year.
Many thanks to all who helped me make this a success in Sikeston.

I will take part in a Halloween Wedding tomorrow - with costumes and Thriller Dance performance by the couple and all guests! Great idea:took your videos to learn, and it wasn’t difficult!
I’m back in a “dance fever” now (used to dance a lot when I was younger) - thanks to your project. Next year I’ll take part or even try to set up my own event here in Hamburg.
Congrats to your record - next year you’ll top it!!

Dear Ines,
I am 52 years old, and MJ has always been someone I loved so much! After he passed, it opened up a whole new chapter in my life. I began to dance to his songs by choreographing them and dancing them the same each time...trying to perfect them. Among my favorites are Jam, Keep it in the Closet and Do You Remember....plus ALL the rest! The treadmill just bores me so!
I learned about Thrill the World while surfing the net about a month ago, and I decided I could do it!!! I went to Hangman’s and learned the dance and also learned from you on you tube. Even my husband joined in the fun!!!!!
We had the greatest time dancing with with over 300 other Zombies and made some awesome new ghoulish friends! We will be there again next year!!
Congratulations to you for the numbers this year my friend!! You’re awesome!!
Happy Halloween to you and yours!!! Wahahahaha!

Was the New York City event counted in the final tally? Right before we started the dance at 8:30pm our time, we were told that the leader’s phone wasn’t working, and that we couldn’t make the conference call.
We had maybe 60-80 people and were rolling in the mud in the pouring rain doing Thriller. It was terribly cold being rain-soaked for 4 hours, but getting completely covered in blood and dirt and rain and everything definitely made me feel like a real zombie. It was worth it for the experience, but I would feel better if I knew that we at least got counted for it, haha.

I just wanted to say I had an amazing day in Piper CIty Lynn Berryhill is an amazing woman. I had to talk my daughter who is 20 yrs old into doing this and she was less than enthused. By the end of the day she admitted it was a blast. The people of Piper City all came together with crockpots of food, and drinks and just completely supported this fullfilling event. I want to become more involved in this next year. I loved it! Special thanks to Lynn Berryhill what a woman! Veronica Nelson

57 fantastic zombies took to the street here in little Piper City and rocked this town! Everyone had a great time and we raised funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As with the past 2 years, this has so touched my heart and soul. I have made many new acquaintances throughout the world and have been blessed by all who became involved in this great event. Looking forward to 2010! Ines...words can never express my gratitude to you for following your dream!

Had a great time being a Zombie in Portland, OR. We had a Zombie Walk through Downtown, stormed our Saturday Market and ended up in the Pioneer Courthouse Square. It was great to see the unity of everyone coming together. A big thank you to the Zombie Hunters for waiting for the dance to end before returning us to our restful slumber.
I wish more of the walkers were dancers as well but it was a much larger turn out than last year.
This was a great exercise for my family as well. My two teens, jumped right in and grabbe a friend to join instead of the usual adolescent ennui. I have a new exercise program. My wife suffers from fear of crowds. She ran into the middle of a large crowd because this dance was more important than her fear.

Thrill The World is a phenomenon. The vision of creator Ines Markelle to unite the world in dance and charity is genius. There are three dimensions of interest here, world records, to honor Michael Jackson and charity. I can’t help think how proud Michael would be to have his music and legancy revered in all three ways. I am an event manager who signed up for this project back in May, before Michael passed away, and learning of his death I knew as I assume Ines did that Thrill The World events were going to explode. Ines has put in so much time, money and energy to bring this project to reality. I believe it is an idea and concept that will not just Thrill The World but could do a lot to “Heal the World”. I hope we can participate again next year and world wide people are inspired to pursue the unbelievable potential for charity.

CHECK OUT GARRETT COUNTY THRILLER! New numbers raised for charities WORLDWIDE $85,000. $100,000 that was first reported to us. GC Zombies raised $30,000 of that TOTAL!
THAT IS TOTALLY UNREAL FOR A SMALL WESTERN MARYLAND COUNTY OF AROUND 30,000 PEOPLE.
CAN YOU IMAGINE IF ALL 300 CITIES DID THE SAME!

Many thanks to Ines & Thrill the World for starting this wonderful event that does so many things.
1. For our group it has brought so many people together that normally would never cross paths in our small county.
2. Our group has been learning, teaching and performing to anyone and everyone WHO WANTS TO SEE THE GC ZOMBIES over the last 4 months. (one more performance tonight @7pm in front of the Oakland Firehall)
3. We have grandparents, moms & dads, sisters, brothers, children, nurses, teachers, cousins, friends and a Ladies College basketball team in our group! We are so proud of each and everyone of them<3
4. The thing we are most proud of is the fact that we raised over $30,000. $85,000 was the total raised WORLDWIDE! With the help of the HOUSE OF HOPE families in Garrett County can get the much needed food and to help them through.
Many thanks again for the THRILLING THRILLER EVENT:)
